The Story of Hero and Leander:
Leander every night would swim across the Hellespont to see Hero. She would light a lamp to guide his way. They made love, and it lasted for an entire warm summer before one winter night, the lamp was blown out and Leander lost his way. When his body was washed up on shore, Hero threw herself off a cliff into the Hellespont to join him.
Sometimes in my weird obsession with finding modern clothes that fit medieval, I forget that there are a lot of very well made things specifically for medieval RP.
